If you ever require any family support then Brambleside School can provide support, advice and information to families within our school community.  We can help you with any worries that you may have in relation to your child's education, behaviour and wellbeing.  We are also here as someone to talk to if you need it.

Michelle Eaton-Brown is the Family Support Adviser and she can meet with you in school at a time to suit yourself.  Advice and support is confidential although concerns relating to the safeguarding of children will always be dealt with in accordance with the school's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.

Whatever the issue, big or small, please call the school office, or pop into the school and we shall be happy to listen. Even if you would just like to come in for a ‘cuppa’ and a chat, you are always more than welcome.

 Support for pupils includes:

  • promoting good attendance and punctuality
  • promoting self-esteem and confidence
  • promoting positive behaviour and positive attitudes to learning
  • providing one-to-one support through wellbeing interventions

Support for families includes:

  • providing information and signposting to other services in the local area
  • liasing with a range of external services such as housing and the school nursing team
  • assistance in completing paperwork and forms e.g. housing, special educational needs, school places and benefits
  • attendance and support at school and other agency meetings
  • advice and support in promoting positive behaviour at home
  • guidance with career and personal development and access to training and workshops in school

Michelle Eaton-Brown is also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the school and can offer a more intensive service if necessary. This would be completed by undertaking an Early Help Assessment (EHA) and arranging a Team Around the Family (TAF) where there is more than one service involved within the family.

How to get in touch:

Please call the school office on 01536 310680 to make an appointment or pop in and Michelle will be happy to see you as soon as she can.
