Safety & Security
To ensure the greatest possible security there is only one access point into the school. This is via the main entrance doors.
Parents must let the school know who will be collecting their children at the end of the school day, especially if there should be a change of adult. We ask for notification in writing if parents agree to their Key Stage 2 child walking home independently.
Smoking
To comply with the Health Act 2006 and in the interest of health and safety, the school site is a “smoke free” environment.
Parking
For the safety of the children of the school, parents' cars must not be brought into the school car park. If you need to bring your child to school by car, we ask that you park in the car park by The One Stop/Tesco.
Bicycles
In Years 4 and 6, we offer pupils the opportunity to undertake ’Bikeability’ training. There are cycle racks for the security of cycles; with parental permission, children can bring their cycles to school whilst undertaking training or once they have gained their proficiency award. Please always ensure that your child wears a helmet when they are riding their bike to school.
Dogs
For health and safety reasons the Governing Body has unanimously declared the school site a dog free zone (except guide dogs).
